A little bit about me..

Hi there, I'm Angharad,
a psychotherapist and a nature lover
Having navigated my own challenges in the past, I understand the courage it takes to begin healing. My own journey with anxiety, depression and CPTSD is what led me to become a therapist, and it shapes my commitment to sitting alongside others as they find their way forward. I will meet you with presence and empathy, and I encourage you to meet yourself with curiosity and compassion.
I came to psychotherapy through my own deep curiosity about the natural world. My background in ecology, allows me to see the world through a lens of interconnected relationships and systems. We are wired for connection and our wellbeing is closely tied to the quality of our relationships. My work focuses on helping you restore a sense of safety and connection, within yourself, with others and with the world.
I hold a master's degree in Counselling and am an accredited member of NCPS, and BACP. I’m trained in a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, working with a deep respect for the whole person in front of me. My focus is always on understanding you, your experiences, your needs, and your unique way of being in the world.

What to expect
Through our sessions together we will build a safe space, in which we can explore how early relationships and past experiences have shaped who you are today. We will also look at your current thoughts, behaviours, and patterns to understand how they influence your life. I offer clear and accessible guidance to help you make sense of what is happening emotionally and physically, and I use gentle body-focused techniques alongside practical tools to help you feel more balanced and in control.
Safety in relationship
Trauma recovery happens within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and accepted. This means you set the pace and direction of the work. We move gently and collaboratively so everything remains manageable for you.
My role is to stay alongside you; offering grounding, support and a steady space into which you can unfold and gradually rebuild a sense of safety within yourself.
So, if you are ready to begin, or even unsure where to start, I'd be honoured to walk beside you
